Jessica Young is a writer and a professor at Columbia College Chicago. She’s been published in several literary magazines and is a regular contributor to Chicago Public Radio’s Eight Forty Eight. She has a degree in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and an MFA in Fiction Writing from Columbia College. She’s madly in love with a fellow writer, the work of James Baldwin, Ohio State football and Kentucky bourbon. Next spring she plans to marry said writer who loves scotch and the work of Salman Rushdie. Football will keep them together.

Shiow-Jiau Yung

Shiow-Jiau Yung apologizes in advance.  Because you might be in the same karaoke bar someday, and she’ll probably do Meat Loaf.  Or in case you’re ever riding your bike on the lakefront, and she yells, “On your left!”  When she’s not being a public nuisance, she’s a producer at Chicago Public Radio.  She’s grateful that her family has a tremendous sense of humor.  And she sends special thanks to her friend Kirsten.
