Thank you for your interest, but Serendipity is not currently accepting any unsolicited submissions of new plays or directing proposals.

Where to send headshots and resumes...
Serendipity holds auditions per production and accepts headshots and resumes throughout the year. It is very important that we have current contact information. Please notify us any time you change your telephone number or union status. Actors should send headshots and/or resumes to the attention of:

Employment Opportunities
Production Manager
- Serves as the major point of communication for individual 2nd Story events
- Maintains performance location communications and facilitates site specific lighting and sound needs
- Schedules final tech rehearsal for the musicians or sound designers, director, and tellers
- Event directs the night of performance, manages front of house, keeps event and personal on schedule throughout the evening, and oversees load in and load out

Sound Designer/Engineer
- Works with director to create sound designs or soundscapes for three to four ten minutes story performances for an individual 2nd Story event
- Crafts music set to be played before, after, and in between stories which incorporates predetermined themes for the event and also encourages conversation amongst patrons
The Sound Designer/Engineer position will need to read the stories or attend a preliminary read through, meet with the director to discuss design and execution, create sound design, attend a tech rehearsal with directors and tellers, and engineer at the performance(s).

Serendipity is always looking for new collaborators—directors, designers, and musicians for our acclaimed 2nd Story series, graphic designers for our marketing materials, administrators for our many programs. If you’re interested in working with us, please submit your cover letter and resume to our Artistic Director, Amanda Delheimer, at amanda@2ndstory.com.
Internships
Serendipity is committed to the incubation of artists and students. We currently offer specialized internship tracks in Graphic Design, Marketing, Production, Sound Engineering and Design, Story Development, and Artistic Leadership.
Each intern will have a different experience based on his or her interests and goals. However, potential interns should note that a time commitment of approximately 15 hours per week is expected regardless of whether or not the internship is taken for credit. The hourly commitment and specific schedule will vary depending on the different natures of each internship, performance schedules and rehearsal/meeting times, and so forth, but keep in mind that we value people who are generous with their time and energy. College credit can be arranged for those who are interested.
